Aluminium
Aluminium is the most common metal in the nature as the earths crust consists of 8% aluminium. The supply is virtually unlimited and the metal is recycled to a large extent without loosing the materialistic qualities. Next to iron, aluminium is the most widely used metal in the world. Aluminium has a various unique qualities and is often called "the metal of potential".
Aluminium is a very low-weight metal with an own-weight 2,7 kg/dm3. At the same time aluminium is very strong and the strength can be increased by allying the metal. This way aluminium can obtain the same strength as iron.
Aluminium is very corrosion-resistant as the metal itself creates a protective oxide membrane. This characteristic can be further improved by using surface-treatments, which prolongs the use of the aluminium and at the same time reduce the maintenance.
Furthermore aluminium has a favourable capacity for conducting heat and electricity. Compared by weight aluminium conducts nearly twice as good as cobber.

I'm happy to be working at ab METAL because of the nice free work environment. There is a good tone among colleagues and management - you can talk to everybody. There is a large proportion of autonomy in the daily work. We work in autonomous groups and therefore everybody has a responsibility to make good workpieces at the right time.
